Delhi and Otterville

The Church of St Alban, the Martyr, Delhi (right) and St John’s Church, Otterville have been a two-point parish since 1979.
Anglicans have been worshipping in Delhi since 1840, first in private homes and then in an Orange Hall. United Empire Loyalist descendents and Irish immigrants formed St Albans. St. Alban’s was built on 9 acres of land given by Ann Eliza Lawson, daughter
of one of the first settlers in Delhi. Much of the land was sold in the 1920’s and 1930’s to maintain the ministry. The church was built in 1878; the parish hall in 1939; the new rectory in 1957; and an addition to the parish hall in 1985.
The Rev’d Zena Attwood is retiring as rector effective the end of July with her last Sunday being the end of June.
