Parish of the Thames
The 4-point Parish of the Thames consists of the congregations of St Luke’s, Crumlin Road, St John’s Thamesford, Christ Church, Lakeside and St. George’s-on-the-Wye, Thorndale. Crumlin Road is on the eastern edge of the city of London, Ontario south of the airport. East of the city are Thamesford and Lakeside in the Township of Zorra (2006 pop 8,125) with Thorndale in the Municipality of Thames Centre.
Rev. Larry Edwards was inducted as rector of Parish of the Thames on April 27, 2008 at St John’s, Thamesford, Ontario. Dean Terry Dance was the preacher with Archdeacon Tim Connor inducting Rev. Edwards on behalf of the Bishop. Rev. Edwards was ordained to the transitional diaconate on June 5, 2007 at The Cathedral Church of Saint Paul, London, Ontario and named incumbent of the parish. He was called to the priesthood November 29, 2007.
